Summer Camp 2016

Did Jesus Really Rise From the Dead? If So, Does it Matter?

Easter is arguably the most significant Christian celebration of the year. In it, we recognize the redeeming work of Jesus Christ; His crucifixion – taking on the punishment for all our sins; and His resurrection – restoring our relationship with God, for all eternity.

Yet few children today hear about the loving work of Jesus, and even fewer understand what it means to be a follower of Christ. In fact, much of what children today hear contradicts traditional Christian values. Sadly, it seems we are witnessing the birth of a lost generation.

Thankfully, there is hope. God is working through people and ministries, such as Lakeside, to ensure that children hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, and learn what it means to follow Christ in all aspects of their lives.

Lakeside, through its camp ministry is sharing the gospel with over 1,000 children each summer. During a week at camp, children experience the joy and comfort of living in Christian community. Furthermore, they learn how to live as Christians at home, in school, and among their neighborhood friends.

This summer marks the 35th year of Lakeside’s service in God’s ministry to children and families. During the past three and a half decades, thousands of lives have been transformed at Lakeside, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Christian summer camp is a unique and powerful experience. Yet Lakeside alone cannot take full credit. Rather, it is God working through the collective nurturing of many caring people in the lives of children; including families, churches, pastors, and youth workers.

As we celebrate Easter and prepare for this summer I ask that you consider partnering with Lakeside, and many others, to ensure that children have an opportunity to hear the gospel and experience what it is to follow Christ.

Through your financial support, you will help make it possible for children to know with certainty that Jesus really has risen; and it does matter very much.

Lakeside is a 501(c)3 charitable non-profit organization.  You may donate by clicking the DONATE button at the bottom of this page. You may  also donate by mailing a check  to Lakeside, 195 Cloverdale Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.

Thank you!
