Horseback RidingMorning Skills Classes

Horseback Riding – This super-sized activity (2 activity periods), focuses on learning proper riding techniques and care for horses.  Participants will get professional instruction and have ample opportunity to ride each day. ($169 added fee) White Horse Hill Participation and Travel Form 2013

Sailing BoatingArchery – Begin the week learning the basics and going over proper technique. When the week is over you will be an experienced archer.

Arts & Crafts – Get creative with all different kinds of projects and artwork. Painting, ceramics, oils, pastels, tye-dye, or just make your own craft from our vast array of supplies.

Ropes CourseBoating – Certified Lifeguards will teach you how to sail and canoe in this class. Learn how to work as a team to set up a sailboat and to help turn a flipped canoe over in the middle of the lake.

Challenge / High Ropes Course – Trained instructors will lead you through one of our many ropes courses. It is always an exciting choice, whether you’re using teamwork to get through a low ropes obstacle, or facing your fears high up on the zipline. Teamwork is key to getting through these high and low ropes obstacles.

Tubing – This popular activity was in such high demand during free time, that we made it into it’s own skills class! For those of you who can’t get enough of this speedy, splashy thrill ride, now you have the opportunity to beat the rush and go every day!

Fishing – The week starts by collecting your own bait and building your own poles. By the end of the week you will be using real poles and catching big fish!

Outdoors Skills – A sense of adventure is enjoyed in the areas of hiking, map and compass reading, geo-caching, survival skills and more.

Performing Arts – Showcase your talent, fine tune your skills, and have a ton of fun in our drama class, improv workshop, and even a hip-hop dance class! You will have an opportunity to perform what you have learned for your fellow campers at the end of the week.

Sports & Recreation – Good sportsmanship and team work are encouraged through popular games, such as soccer, softball, basketball, and volley ball

Waterfront – Confidence and skill is developed in activities such as swimming, sailing, and canoeing; all under the close supervision of our waterfront staff.

During free time, on top of swimming and the open arcade area and snack shop, many of the activities above will be available so you don’t have to worry about missing out.
