Lakeside Prayer Team
Thank you for praying for Lakeside. We believe in the
effectiveness of prayer. That's why it is one of Lakeside's
core values. We are eager to participate in what God is
doing and we seek his direction in order to do that. You are
an important part of Lakeside's team.

High School & Middle
School Winter Retreats
We have wrapped up our two Lakeside-sponsored winter
retreats. More than 150 students and leaders attended the
retreats. They participated in outdoor games, workshops,
worship, tournaments and snow sculpture contests.
- Please pray that the messages, worship, and fellowship
will have a lasting impact

Lakeside Facilities
With more than 25 buildings, nearly a mile of roadway, and
134 acres of land, maintenance and repairs are always on the
agenda at Lakeside. Cleaning, plowing, shovelling snow,
equipment maintenance, electrical and plumbing repairs (did
you know Lakeside has more than 70 toilets?) are ongoing
needs. In addition, conditions this winter have been perfect
for creating significant ice problems on the roofs of
several buildings, requiring many hours of shovelling and
maintenance.
- Please pray for Facilities Director George Rudd as he
manages all of this
- Pray for Ken Mick, who works part time handling
housekeeping and assisting George
- Pray for their safety, health, and wisdom to manage time
and resources
- Pray for financial resources and for volunteers to lend
a hand

Summer Staff
Recruitment
We are beginning to sift through summer staff applications
and will be making hiring decisions soon.
- Please pray that we will be able to once again enlist a
committed and capable summer staff team
- Pray especially regarding the key summer leadership
positions

Summer Camp
Registrations
In addition to Family Camp registrations (many of which were
submitted before November 1) we are now receiving youth camp
registrations. We are currently surveying past campers to
learn about their plans for 2009.
- Please pray that people will recognize the value of a
summer camp experience and will plan for it, even as they
carefully evaluate their responses to the sluggish economy.
- Pray for further growth for our Day Camp program
(entering its third season). We want to have a significant
ministry to kids right here in Berkshire County.
- Pray that the survey will help us discern plans and
trends for the coming summer

Connecting With
Churches in our Neighborhood
Lakeside can be a valuable resource for churches that are
within easy reach.
- Please pray that our efforts to connect with these
churches will be effective.
- Pray that these churches will choose to use Lakeside for
meetings, dinners, board retreats and other events.

Mother/Daughter Retreat
Following a successful mother/daughter
retreat last fall, plans are underway for a similar event
for middle school and high school girls and their mothers in
April. Our speaker, Kristen Somody Whalen, has an
outstanding program planned and is very excited about this
opportunity.

- Pray for the retreat coordinator, Mary-Ellen Ginter as
she plans and oversees the event
- Pray that many daughters and moms will choose to
attend
