Friendships, Fun, and Faith converge each summer at
Lakeside Christian Camp. Dedicated to equipping and
encouraging children and adults in Christian faith.
Lakeside Christian Camp offers programs of
inspiration, set on a pristine lake, among glorious
mountain views, wooded walking trails, and spacious
meadows and fields.
Summer days are filled with excitement during youth,
family, and day camps. Brand new to Lakeside this
summer are leadership and missions camps for high
school age students. The foundation and compelling
theme for this summer is Thrill Ride 2010, How
Jesus Turned the World Upside Down. Through
powerful worship, small group devotions, and hands
on activities, campers will explore actions and
teachings of Jesus Christ that challenged cultural
and social norms to turn our world upside down.
Have tremendous fun, form life-long friendships, and
explore new interests, all while being encouraged in
Christian character growth. Each daily activity is
carefully designed to include a balance of
structured activities and the freedom to explore,
play, and grow. A typical day includes energetic
worship, thoughtful Bible study, a range of skill
classes, a variety of waterfront activities, and
exciting age specific games and tournaments.

Chapel and Devotions
Join with others, twice daily, for a time of
encouraging and uplifting worship, led by dynamic
youth pastors and Lakeside’s own worship band. God’s
word is shared in a way that is true to scripture
and relevant to today’s youth. Each lesson includes
practical applications for home, school, and among
peers. Also, twice daily, campers meet within their
cabins in a small group environment to dig deeper
into the lessons presented in chapel. Christian
faith is fostered, but never forced.
Skill
Classes
Develop existing skills, explore new activities, and
set foundations for life-long interests. Campers
choose from a unique combination of fun, engaging,
and enriching specialties:
-
Sports & Recreation – Good sportsmanship and team
work are encouraged through popular games, such as
soccer, softball, basketball, and volley ball
-
Waterfront – Confidence and skill is developed in
activities such as swimming, sailing, and
canoeing; all under the close supervision of our
waterfront staff
-
Arts & Crafts – Creativity is fostered through
traditional art forms, such as painting and
sketching, woodworking, and photography
-
Performing Arts – Talent and imagination are
expressed through drama, video production
-
Outdoors Skills – A sense of adventure is enjoyed
in the areas of hiking, map and compass reading,
high and low rope challenge courses, fishing, and
archery
Games
& Tournaments
Evenings reverberate with the thunderous sounds of
children at play during camp-wide tournaments.
Games, known as All Camps, are specifically
chosen that provide fun, develop camaraderie,
encourage good sportsmanship, and allow all to fully
participate regardless of skill level.
Staffing
Campers enjoy personalized attention from staff
thanks to a favorable ratio of campers to
counselors. Our staff is committed to modeling
Christian values and behaviors. Trained counselors
are typically college students, representing schools
such as Wheaton College, Liberty University, Nyack
College, Eastern Nazarene College, and Gordon-Conwell
Theological Seminary.
Max
Camp
Two-week sessions provide campers twice the amount
of fun, twice the opportunity for spiritual growth,
and twice the time to develop meaningful
friendships. Max campers enjoy the added benefit of
exceptional weekend events and field trips.
