Why Choose Lakeside?

  • We love kids!
  • We have the best summer staff on the planet.
  • We want our campers to discover how cool it is to walk with Jesus.
  • We're in the heart of the Berkshires. Our campus is beautiful.
  • We're accredited by the American Camp Association.
  • Kids love our food.
  • Our lake is great for swimming canoeing, sailing, tubing and skiing.
  • We offer an excellent classic summer camp experience.
  • We believe the best stuff happens when counselors and campers become great friends.

If you are a returning camper and you recruit a first-time camper, we’ll reward you with a $30 credit toward your camp tuition. Recruit enough friends, and you could come to camp free! To qualify, you must be a returning camper, the person you invite must never have attended a Lakeside youth camp in the past, and he or she must give us your name at the time they submit their registration whether by phone, in writing, or online.

Lakeside offers a full schedule of summer youth and family camps. This page provides details regarding dates and fees. Call for a brochure (800-444-0253).

Activities at Lakeside

Activities offered during summer camp will vary somewhat from season to season and week to week, depending on staffing. You can expect most of the following activities to be available.

At the Waterfront you can swim, canoe or sail. Go skiing or tubing behind our Ski Nautique.

Our Recreation Department offers sports of all kinds, including soccer, volleyball, softball, basketball, and tennis. Get a team together and join the Cousineau Cup Soccer Tournament!

Choose Outdoor Skills and develop your camping skills, work with a map and compass, take a hike up to Yokun Ridge on Lenox Mountain..

You might have a chance to experience Lakeside's high ropes challenge course (older campers only) or our low ropes and initiatives course.

If the Arts are your thing, sign up for Arts and Crafts and create something special, or choose Drama and produce a play or skit to present to the rest of the camp on Friday evening.

You may want to choose Archery and spend some time at the range.

Of course, there's lots more. You'll enjoy all-camp games, the ever-popular Lakeside Taste & See (our camp store), and some special events that are such a surprise that even we might not know about them yet. The food is great, and the friends are even better. Best of all, you will meet the one who wants to be your best friend, Jesus Christ.
