The LTD program has been enriched to
provide meaningful and life-changing opportunities for mature high school
students seeking to develop leadership or missions skills, while fully
enjoying the fun and fellowship of summer camp.
Serve Crew Camp
Students entering grades 10-12
$650 per 3 week session fee
Session Dates: July 4-24 or July
25-August 14

Explore and experience serving the Lord
through missions and ministry, in fulfillment of the Great Commission.
Develop skills and hands-on experience in serving the Lord through
missions and ministry. Specific skills will include team building and
organization, problem solving, conflict resolution, and methods for
sharing the Gospel message. Participants will interact each week with
special guests, including active missionaries, mission’s pastors, and
Christian service agencies. Serve Crew members will put their new skills
to work each week in a 1-day service project in partnership with local
Christian organizations. Serve Crew members will receive a Certification
of Participation, as well as CPR and first aid certifications.
There’s still plenty of time for fun,
relaxation, and favorite camp activities, including waterfront sports, low
and high rope challenge courses, campfires, and great fellowship, worship
and devotions.
This unique opportunity, for those
entering grades 9-11, is limited to 12 participants per three-week
session. Application deadline is March 31, 2010.

Explore qualities of Christian character
and leadership. Develop specific leadership skills, within the Christian
context, that may be immediately applied at school, in church, or in the
community. Discussion and workshop topics include leadership styles, team
building, decision making, and conflict resolution. Each topic is
reinforced with hands-on projects and exercises. Participants will
interact each week with special guests who will share their insights and
experience as Christians in business, politics, education, and ministry.
Leadership Crew members will put their new skills to work each week in a
1-day service project in partnership with local Christian organizations.
Leadership Crew also includes essential
training for those interested in joining the Lakeside summer staff.
Participants will receive a Certification of Participation, as well as CPR
and first aid certifications.
It’s a busy schedule, but there’s still
plenty of opportunity for fun and favorite activities, such as camp fires,
waterfront sports, low and high rope challenge courses, and great
fellowship, worship and devotions.
